KOTA KINABALU: About 526 persons under investigation (PUI) are still under quarantine in 22 centres throughout the state on Apr 26.
According to State Health Director Datuk Dr Christina Rundi, the figure included 12 new PUI cases, which started undergoing quarantine on Apr 25.
However, at the same time, a total of 68 people including 27 who have completed the 14-day quarantine period at the Institute of Teacher Education Keningau Campus were discharged.
The cumulative figure of PUI cases discharged to date is 1,749.
According to Dr Christina, a total of 3,586 people identified as close contacts of the PUI cases are still under home quarantine for observation under the 1988 Prevention and Control of Infectious Diseases.
So far, 15,205 people have completed the home quarantine.-SabahNewsToday
