KUALA LUMPUR, April 10 — The following is the morning update from the Communications and Multimedia Ministry (KKMM) Quick Response Team on countering fake news on COVID-19 on social media.
1. Yong Peng District Council in Johor denies claim it has appointed individuals to solicit for donations of cash and goods.
2. Kuala Pilah District Police headquarters in Negeri Sembilan denies allegation that two hotspots, Dioh Wet Market and Taman Desa Jaya Melang, have breached the Movement Control Order (MCO).
3. Sabah State Secretariat denies allegation it has issued a letter of contract to a company to supply food valued at RM47.5 million in nine districts.
