Covid-19: SME Sabah contributes protection gears for Telipok Ria residents, frontliners

TUARAN: The SME Association of Sabah did its bid to help combat Covid-19 by donating 5,000 masks for the residents of Telipok Ria, where 12 positive cases have been recorded.

The donation was handed over to Deputy Chief Minister Datuk Seri Wilfred Madius Tangau who is also Tuaran MP by SME Sabah President N K Foo accompanied by vice president, Tan Kai Teck in a brief ceremony at the Tuaran District Council here last Saturday.

Foo also presented 60 ponchos, which is a protection gear for frontliners.

It was made possible through sponsorships from SME Sabah Honorary Advisors Datuk Alan Ang PS and Datuk Henry Hing CC, Deputy President Michael Chin as well as BEBC Kudat Chairman, Datuk James Ibrahim.

“The Minister has appealed that the masks be donated to household heads for their usage going to the grocers,” said Foo.

Meanwhile, Madius who is also the state Minister of Trade and Industry also received 28 cartons of packed food items from Smart Profit Sdn Bhd.
