KOTA KINABALU: The Malaysian Crime Prevention Foundation (MCPF) Sabah has called on the public to maintain the good relationship and cooperation with the police.
Its Chairman Tan Sri Andrew Liew also urged the public to be in constant contact with the police in order to combat crime, particularly during these festive seasons.
Speaking to reporters after chairing the MCPF Sabah third meeting in Grandis Hotel here today, Liew said based on the statistics provided by the Sabah police, the crime index had dropped significantly in the state.
This showed efforts of the Sabah police to conduct various crackdown operations were successful, he said, adding that cooperation from all quarters was also vital.
Meanwhile, Sabah Deputy Police Commissioner, Datuk Zaini Jass assured the MCPF that there would be ample police force to maintain security during the festivities.
Also on hand were secretary Datuk Francis Yap and MCPF Sabah member Tan Sri T C Goh.-SabahNewsToday
