Second batch of food assistance for 3,000 families in Kapayan

KOTA KINABALU: About 3,000 families in Kapayan will receive food assistance from Kapayan Assemblywoman Jannie Lasimbang to help ease their burden during the Movement Control Order (MCO) period.

Prior to this, Jannie had already distributed the first batch of assistance to more than 1,000 families.

The Law and Native Affairs Assistant Minister said the food aid was distributed through the respective Village Community Management Councils (MPKK) in her constituency.

Jannie who is also DAP Sabah Wanita chief reminded the public to adhere to the MCO by staying at home and observing proper hygiene care to curb the spread of Covid-19.

The MCO that was supposed to end on April 14 has been extended for the third time until April 28.
